So the decision for this was to replace the organic drawn lines with straighter cleaner cut lines. that is a bit boring, but a necessary change to make with the given time we have left and to make the design match the rest of the film

Here are some of the backgrounds with the proposed straighter lines less organic drawn lines. I have enjoyed creating these backgrounds as it is a good break from 3D in maya. It serves as a good practice for me to improve my drawing, painting skills in Photoshop
